SMS Consent Script
Quote Ready businesses collect SMS consent verbally when a customer calls the business phone number. Below is the exact script used.
Example: John's Detailing — (978) 381-8073
The call is answered live by an automated greeting that says:
"Hey, thanks for calling John's Detailing! If you'd like an instant quote by text, just press 1 now. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply — you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Or press 2 if you'd rather leave us a quick message."
Pressing 1 is the caller's explicit, affirmative action requesting a text message — it is the only way our system sends a first SMS. No one receives a message without first calling or texting the business number and taking this action.
Customers may also opt in by texting the business number directly, which is itself an explicit opt-in action.
